Our Hanok, Korea's Hanok [Photo Essay Contest - Grand Prize Winner]

Do you know about Korea's traditional house? I will give you a hint. First, it has a black roof. Second, it is made with wood, earth, stone, and straw. Lastly, rich people live there now. Yes, it is a Hanok! Today, I will write about Hanok. Pay attention to this special information!

First, our Hanok is a special treasure in Korea. This is because of its great view. In the view, it has beautiful flowers in spring, the sparkling sun in summer, and colorful leaves in fall. It has white, fluffy snow in winter, too! A Hanok's view is always changing, but each view is wonderful. That is one of the reasons why a Hanok is so special.

Second, a Hanok has an attractive roof. It attracts our eyes because it is so great. It is very strong and clean. Everyone's eyes will definitely enjoy it. It has a bold, black color, too! Therefore, a Hanok’s roof is beautiful.

Finally, a Hanok has an eternal culture. Common people, innocent people, and noble people lived there. Many people were born and died there. A Hanok is a part of our Korean culture. A special characteristic is that our ancestors could have lived there! As you can see a Hanok is a special Korean cultural house.

Did you know that I slept at a Hanok? It had a big bath tub. I watched a movie and played with my older sister. She liked the Hanok, too! We both wrote about the Hanok. There was a yellow light shining outside the Hanok. I thought it was pretty and I liked it. Therefore, I want to go to a Hanok one more time.

In conclusion, a Hanok is a part of Korea's fantastic and precious culture. Many great Korean cultures lived there. I suggest that you visit a Hanok someday.
