Huons Group is striving to increase its value with the implementation of a co-stockholder dividend policy.
The move, announced by CEO Yoon Sung-tae, comes on the heels of a 2023 decision to execute a shareholder return policy that was expanded on in February of last year with a plan to introduce quarterly dividends.
This year, Huons Group will pay a cash dividend of 200 won (13 cents) per share every quarter for Huons Global, Huons and Humedix. The group also plans to expand returns by increasing dividends per share by 5 to 30 percent annually through 2028. Structured as a distribution by reduction in capital, the payout allows shareholders to receive tax-exempt dividend benefits.
In February of this year, the group’s board of directors approved a cash dividend of 200 won per share for 2025, to be paid out to stockholders of record at the close of business on April 3.
Huons Global is scheduled to distribute the year-end dividends on April 22, while Huons and Humedix are set to distribute payouts on April 23.
Huons Global will pay a total dividend of 880 won per share for the 2025 fiscal year, including semiannual and quarterly dividends, representing a 68 percent increase from the previous year for a total payout of 10.7 billion won.
Huons will distribute the same amount for dividends worth 920 per share for a 45 percent on-year hike. Humedix’s payout is set to rise 48 percent on year to 9.6 billion won.
HuM&C decided in February of last year to pay out its first-ever year-end dividend of 200 won per share for 2025 for a total of 2 billion won, paid entirely tax-free. The payout has a record date of April 3, following the general shareholder meeting, with payments scheduled for April 22.
CEO Yoon said, “Despite the challenging internal and external business environments, the group has remained steadfast in its commitment to enhancing shareholder value as our top priority. Moving forward, we will continue to carefully deliberate on and faithfully implement dividend policies for our shareholders, including our mid- to long-term dividend policy and quarterly dividends.”
