The Ministry of Finance and Economy held a video conference with officials stationed abroad on Tuesday to review global policy responses amid heightened uncertainty over raw material prices and supply following the Iran war.
The virtual event was led by Second Vice Finance Minister Huh Chang and included ministry officials based at Korean embassies in 13 countries, including the United States, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia.
During the meeting, the officials shared updates on price stabilization measures and supply management policies being pursued by major economies as volatility in the raw materials market increases amid the prolonged conflict.
Huh urged participants to continue providing timely reports on global trends and policy responses through the overseas network, the ministry said.
The Finance Ministry said it will continue to monitor international policy measures, identify applicable cases for domestic use and strengthen its response system to stabilize supply chains.
