Boy band Seventeen member The8 [MIDOU MUSIC FESTIVAL]

Seventeen's Chinese singer The8 will headline the Midou Music Festival in Nanjing in eastern China in May, the boy band's agency Pledis Entertainment said on Tuesday.

The8, also known by his name Xu Minghao, will close out the event slated to run from May 1 to 2.

The Midou Music Festival in May marks its 15th edition.

The June and October festivals last year drew a combined total of over 140,000 spectators, according to organizers.

The8 will perform at the upcoming event as a solo act. Since 2021, he has released Chinese-language digital singles as a solo artist, including “Stardust” (2024) and the most recent “Star Crossing Night” (2025) featuring rapper GALI.

The singer also headlined the Yue Jian Chao Xiang music festival in Beijing last September.
