'Planet C: Home Race' winners to debut as Modyssey on April 13

The winning contestants from Mnet's survival audition show "Planet C: Home Race" (2025) will officially debut as the band Modyssey on April 13, agency Onecead said Thursday.

The seven members — all Chinese nationals Yichen, Hengyu, Rowan, Lynnlynn, Li Zihao, Suren and Fan Zheyi — first competed on “Boys II Planet” (2025) before appearing in its Chinese spinoff.

The band's name combines the words Music, Move, Momentum and Odyssey, symbolizing how the members from different backgrounds are moving toward the same direction, Onecead said.

As its debut song, Modyssey will release the single "Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony," a song partially produced by 3RACHA, a subunit of the boy band Stray Kidz.

An accompanying variety show, "Say Say Modyssey," which documents the Chinese group's members' journey to their debut, will air on Mnet on Friday.

The band is set to perform at KCON JAPAN 2026, CJ ENM's annual concerts in Japan, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba in May, in addition to the standard music show appearances to promote the single.

Modyssey makes its debut under Onecead, a joint venture created between CJ ENM, JYP China and NCC Entertainment, with a focus on the Chinese market.

CJ ENM is the parent company of Mnet and WakeOne, the agency that manages all new groups produced by shows on the channel, while talent agency NCC Entertainment was established by China's largest music platform, Tencent Music Entertainment.

Alpha Drive One, the eight-member group formed through "Boys II Planet," made its debut with WakeOne in January.
