Memorial concert held on anniversary of R&B singer Wheesung's death

A free memorial concert to commemorate the first anniversary of R&B singer Choi Whee-sung's death was held on Wednesday, said Tajoy Entertainment on Thursday.
 
The concert was titled “Wheesung Tribute X MBC it’s Live,” and featured musicians including Ali, K.will, Jung-in and Solji to honor the singer, known by the stage name Wheesung. A recording of the show will be posted on the Korean music performance YouTube channel “it's LIVE,” the agency said.

Tracks from the show will also be released after the concert.
 
The YouTube channel Dingo Music also invited Babylon, who was a close friend of Wheesung's, and AIIN to perform the singer's hit medley in his memory.
 
Choi was found dead in his apartment in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, on March 10 of last year. He was 43 years old.
 
Choi was born in February 1982 and made his solo debut in 2002 with his full-length album "Like A Movie." He is known for songs such as "Insomnia" (2009) and "Heartsore Story" (2011).
