K-pop girl group i-dle has said it will return to North America in August for its biggest tour to date in the region, performing in 10 major cities across Canada, the United States and Mexico.

The announcement was made during an appearance on NBC's "Today Show" on Wednesday, where the members told viewers they were coming back with a North American tour and looked forward to meeting their fans, known as Neverland.

The world tour, which began in Seoul last month, is set to continue in other Asian cities, such as Taipei and Bangkok, and in Australia before heading to North America. Additional cities and dates will be announced later, the agency said.

"Mono" is the quintet's first new music in eight months since the single "We are" was released last year. The girl group, which changed its name from (G)I-DLE to i-dle in May last year, wrapped up its previous tour with concerts in Japan in October.
