Korean universities welcome new students — in pictures

Universities around Korea hosted entrance ceremonies last week, welcoming thousands of new students for the 2026 academic year.
Seoul National University, one of Korea's leading universities, held its entrance ceremony on Thursday. A total of 7,573 new students, including 3,958 undergraduate students, were welcomed to campus.
On Friday, Ewha Womans University in Seodaemun District, western Seoul, welcomed 3,727 new students at its entrance ceremony, which featured a performance by the university’s Male Faculty Choir.
On the same day, Pukyong National University in Busan held an international student orientation to welcome 433 international students from 41 different countries.
