KickFlip will release its fourth EP in April, but member Amaru will not take part in promotional activities because of health issues, the band’s agency JYP Entertainment said on Monday.
The band will drop a track from the album as a prerelease on March 9 and the EP on April 6.
“Amaru received counseling and underwent medical examinations after experiencing symptoms of psychological anxiety and was advised by doctors to rest,” JYP Entertainment explained in a notice on Monday.
After discussions with Amaru and the other members, the agency decided to suspend his activities to prioritize his health and recovery, it added, before asking for fans' understanding and support.
K-pop promotions typically comprise music show appearances, social media content, such as TikTok challenges, and fan events.

The rookie band’s new music comes after it wrapped up its first series of fan concerts titled “From KickFlip to WeFlip” last month.
The band staged 12 fan events in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Cheongju and Daegu from Jan. 17 through Saturday.
“I was genuinely so happy until the very end. [The fan concerts] reminded me what happiness really is and why I wanted to become an idol in the first place,” member Minje said following the last concert in Daegu.
“Every show was a cherished memory. I was truly happy during every single moment!” member Keiju said.
KickFlip debuted with its first EP “Flip it, Kick it!” and lead track “Mama Said” on Jan. 20, 2025. The multinational group consists of seven members: Kyehoon, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, Donghyeon and Amaru.
