Vegetable prices are rising ahead of the Chuseok harvest festival holiday, running from Sept. 16 to 18 this year. According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the price of a 4-kilogram (8.8-pound) box of spinach at Garak Market on Monday stood at 152,455 won ($114.97), having dropped significantly from a price of 273,700 won on Sunday but still over three times higher than the 48,827 won per box on the first day of the month.
