League of Legends World Championship anthem in tribute to Faker to drop on Oct. 9

The official theme song for the upcoming 2026 League of Legends (LoL) World Championship is scheduled to be released on Oct. 9, according to Riot Games on Wednesday.

Titled “Know My Name,” the music video for the track will focus on LoL champion Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, and will be released on the same day as the theme song.

The upcoming theme song was performed by True Damage, a virtual hip-hop band comprised of five members. The anticipated release marks the first time a virtual artist has performed the championship’s theme song. Soyeon, a member of girl group i-dle, voices Akali, the virtual band’s rapper.

The anthem marks the band's return in seven years since the release of its last track, "Giants" (2019). The track's official music video gained more than 230 million views on YouTube as of Wednesday.

The band is scheduled to perform the theme song at the opening ceremony of the championship finals, which will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Nov. 14.
