Bang Chan of boy band Stray Kids donated 200 million won ($144,300) to fund rehabilitation medical services in Seoul and disaster relief efforts in Nepal, his agency JYP Entertainment announced Sunday.

A fund of 100 million won was given to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital in Eunpyeong District, northern Seoul. It will be used to establish a dedicated medical center to provide specialized care tailored to patients’ age and medical conditions.

The remaining 100 million won was delivered to the Korean Committee for Unicef. It is expected to support recovery operations in Nepal following deadly flash floods.

“I wanted to deliver a little comfort to those who are going through rough times,” Bang Chan said in a press release. “I wish everyone to return to their normal life as soon as possible.”

Bang Chan donated 100 million won to Samsung Medical Center to fund treatment for pediatric patients and another 100 million won to the Korean Unicef committee in October last year to mark his birthday.

Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and consists of members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. The band is known for hits such as “My Pace” (2018), “Miroh” (2019), “God's Menu” (2020) and “Back Door” (2020). The group is currently on its “Run It” world tour.
