People look down at apartment complexes in downtown Seoul from the Lotte World Tower in Songpa District, western Seoul, on Thursday. As the housing market stagnates due to interest rate hikes and a sharp decrease in transactions, the range of declines in sales prices and jeonse prices is widening. This week, apartment sales prices in Seoul fell again recording 23 consecutive weeks of price declines, and the nationwide apartment sales and jeonse prices in the metropolitan and regional areas recorded the steepest decline in history since May 2012 when the Korea Real Estate Board started collecting related data.
