The KT Wiz, the highest-scoring team in Korean baseball this season, has lost two key batters to hamstring injuries.
The Wiz announced Thursday that outfielder Ahn Hyun-min has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain, while third baseman Heo Kyoung-min will miss action with a left hamstring injury.
Both players will be re-evaluated on Friday, but there is no timeline for their return.
Ahn, the reigning KBO Rookie of the Year, suffered his injury after making a turn at first base following his base hit in the sixth inning against the NC Dinos during Wednesday's game. Heo hurt his hamstring after hitting a double two innings earlier.
Ahn has played in 14 of the Wiz's 15 games so far and was hitting .365 with three home runs and 11 RBIs.
Heo was batting .522 in seven games at the time of his injury. He had missed 10 days earlier this month with dizziness after getting hit in the face by a pitch on March 31.
The Wiz are leading the KBO with a .286 team batting average, 155 hits and 103 runs scored.
