Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants is finally showing signs of life after a dismal start to his season.
 
Lee batted 2-for-4 in a 2-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Tuesday, for his third multihit game in his past four.

Lee is still batting just .207 (12-for-58) for the season, but half of those dozen hits have come in the last four games.
 
He was batting .143 through Wednesday before going on a 6-for-16 run.
 
Batting out of the sixth spot, Lee singled off starter Brady Singer in the top of the second and then hit a double against the right-hander in the top of the fourth.
 
Lee is tied for second on the Giants with five doubles this season. He led the team in that category last year with 31.
 
Lee also made a strong defensive play in right field in the bottom of the eighth, snagging Matt McLain's flyball in the foul territory, just in front of the wall to his left.
 
At Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Kim Hye-seong went 0-for-1 with a walk for the Dodgers as they defeated the New York Mets 2-1.
 
Kim, who was called up from the minors on April 5, is now batting .286 (4-for-14).
 
After flying out against starter Nolan McClean in the second inning, Kim worked a seven-pitch walk against the right-hander with two outs in the fifth inning. It snapped a streak of 13 consecutive batters retired by McClean.
 
Kim was lifted for pinch-hitter Miguel Rojas to begin the eighth inning.
