Boy band Seventeen will return to Japan next month for four meet and greet events, the group’s agency Pledis Entertainment announced on Tuesday.
The band will hold two events each at the Tokyo Dome on May 13 and 14 and the Kyocera Dome Osaka on May 23 and 24.
The theme and title of the meet and greets share the same name: “Yakusoku,” which is derived from the Japanese word for “promise” and reflects Seventeen’s connection with its fan base, according to the agency.
It marks the second time that Seventeen has staged meet and greets exclusively at dome venues in Japan following its 2023 “Love” series, highlighting strong ticketing demand for the group’s performances in the country, Pledis Entertainment said.
Promotional materials released through social media and the fan platform Weverse visually reinforce the theme by depicting threadlike graphics encircling the members to symbolize their bond with fans, who are known as “Carats.”
Seventeen had maintained a packed schedule in the first half of the year.
The group wrapped up its world tour at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium earlier this month, capping a concert series that drew a combined audience of around 900,000 both online and in person.
The group is set to return to the same venue in June for another large-scale meet and greet.
In addition to group events, individual members are continuing their solo activities. For example, DK and Seungkwan will hold their joint concert at Inspire Arena in Incheon from Friday to Sunday, while S.Coups and Mingyu will hold their own show at Kaohsiung Arena in Taiwan from April 24 to 26.
