Mercedes-Benz Korea introduced a centralized nationwide vehicle sales system on Monday, marking a shift from its previous dealership-led model to one that standardizes pricing nationwide and integrates various customer channels.
The new model, dubbed “Retail of the Future,” replaces the conventional structure — in which individual dealers set prices and promotions — with a unified system that offers a single price for each vehicle, the company said in a press release.
Under the system, customers can check real-time vehicle inventory, pricing, promotions and even begin the purchasing process online.
According to the automaker, the change is designed to eliminate price discrepancies between dealerships, improve transparency and provide a more consistent purchasing experience.
The company added that its 11 authorized dealership partners will continue collaborating to manage offline services, from delivery to customer support.
“Mercedes-Benz Korea will deliver a more transparent and consistent customer experience while establishing a new standard for car sales,” Mercedes-Benz Korea President and CEO Mathias Vaitl said.
