The early bird visits the museum

Visitors walk past a sign displaying updated visiting hours at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan District, central Seoul, on March 16. Beginning that day, the museum advanced both its opening and closing times by 30 minutes, now operating from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The museum said that it made the change after considering visitors’ feedback that the previous 10 a.m. opening resulted in long waiting times, especially since attendance has increased significantly in recent years. The National Museum of Korea recorded more than 6.5 million visitors last year, the highest annual total in its history. [YONHAP]
