Seoul to host multiple fun fan activities for 'BTS the City Arirang Seoul'

Seoul will be filled with fun fan activities from Friday to April 19 to celebrate BTS’s comeback, according to the band’s agency BigHit Music.
 
The company posted detailed information regarding “BTS the City Arirang Seoul” on the fan community platform Weverse on Monday.

A media facade will appear on Sungnyemun Gate, a historic site in Jung District, central Seoul, and N Seoul Tower in Yongsan District, central Seoul, at 7 p.m. on Friday to mark the release of the group’s fifth full-length album “Arirang.” 
 
Ttukseom Han River Park in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, will host a drone light show at 8:30 p.m. on Friday for 15 minutes.

Central Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, the site of the comeback performance, will feature giant billboards displaying BTS-related content from 7 p.m. on Friday to midnight on Saturday.
 
“Music Light Shows,” with lasers synchronized to the beat of the music,  will take place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Jung District, central Seoul, from Friday to April 12, as well as at Banpo Bridge’s Moonlight Rainbow Fountain in Seocho District, southern Seoul, on the weekends.
 
Fans will also be able to participate in a so-called stamp tour across the city. During a stamp tour, fans receive a stamp for each location that they visit on the tour, and a certain number of stamps usually lead to rewards.

Yeouido Han River Park in western Seoul will transform into a music plaza from Friday to Sunday. Fans will be able to enjoy music at the Love Song Lounge, an homage to the new album’s campaign slogan: “What is Your Love Song?”
 
Movie theater chain CGV will host a sing-along of “Arirang” at its Yongsan I-Park location in central Seoul, where fans can receive special merchandise and enjoy BTS-themed beverages. Tickets will cost 20,000 won ($13) and will be available starting from 5 p.m. on Wednesday on CGV’s official website and its mobile app, according to CGV.

Cheonggyecheon, a stream in central Seoul, and Yongsan Station will also host media installations from April 6 to 19.
 
The specific schedules and program information regarding the citywide event can be found in BTS’s official Weverse channel and its official website, BigHit said. Some programs may require preregistration. 
 
“BTS The City Arirang” will start in Seoul and expand to major cities around the world.
