Kep1er to release 8th EP 'Crack Code'

Girl group Kep1er will release its eighth EP, “Crack Code,” on March 31, the first release since changing the group structure to six members, the group’s joint agencies WakeOne and Klap Entertainment said Wednesday.
 
The release will mark Kep1er’s return in about seven months since its seventh EP “Bubble Gum,” which was released on Aug. 19 last year.

A comeback scheduler was released on Wednesday, along with preorder posters of the members.
 
Preorders for “Crack Code” will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The EP will be released at 6 p.m. on March 31 through major streaming platforms.
 
Kep1er originally debuted as a temporary project group through Mnet’s audition program “Girls Planet 999" (2021), but became the first of its kind to renew its contract and continue promoting. 
 
Kep1er originally was a nine-member group, but former members Mashiro, Kang Ye-seo and Seo Young-eun left the group between 2024 and this year. The group currently consists of Choi Yu-jin, Shen Xiaoting, Kim Chae-hyun, Kim Da-yeon, Ezaki Hikaru and Huening Bahiyyih.
 
Kep1er debuted with the song "Wa Da Da" (2022) on Jan. 3, 2022, and has had hit songs such as "Up!" (2022) and "Giddy" (2023).
