Min Hee-jin, Ooak Records CEO, arrives at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho District, southern Seoul, to attend a court hearing on her put option dispute with HYBE on Sept. 11, 2025. [NEWS1]

Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR who oversaw the debut of the girl group NewJeans, will hold a news conference on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. to address her recent court victory against HYBE, her current agency said.

She will "speak directly about the first-instance court ruling and her future plans" at a location in central Seoul, according to Min's recently-founded agency ooak records.

The press conference follows a Feb. 12 ruling by a Seoul court that dismissed HYBE’s lawsuit seeking to confirm the termination of its shareholder agreement with Min. The court also upheld the validity of her put option and ordered HYBE to pay the former ADOR CEO around 25.5 billion won ($17.7 million) for her shares.

The K-pop giant had accused her of violating a shareholder agreement by trying to separate ADOR from HYBE and by making public comments about internal disputes, which it said amounted to a breach of trust. The claim, if upheld, would have allowed HYBE to terminate her contract and block her put option.

The Seoul Central District Court ruled in Min’s favor, finding that her public criticism did not violate the contract and that her discussions about ADOR’s independence did not constitute an illegal attempt to take control of the label. HYBE has appealed the ruling.

Her new label, ooak records, which she founded last year, released promotional videos on social media earlier this month that hinted at auditions for a new boy band.
