This year’s Asia Song Festival and Culture Bridge Festa will kick off together at Yeouido Hangang Park in western Seoul from Oct. 26, with the latter slated to run until the next day.
Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, the festivals will kick off with Korean band Balming Tiger's performance at the park’s Waterlight Stage on Saturday at 6 p.m., according to the ministry's press release on Wednesday.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year's Asia Song Festival will feature musical performances, special programs retracing the history of K-pop, interactive exhibitions and more. Presale tickets sold out within five minutes of their release.
Performers from seven countries — Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Jamaica — will take the stage at the festival.

Culture Bridge Festa will allow visitors to enjoy performances, exhibitions, food and traditional costumes from various countries. This year, the focus will be on Filipino and Jamaican cultures, with some cultural booths set around the Waterlight Stage during the two-day festival period.
Visitors can learn the traditional Filipino folk dance tinikling against the backdrop of Boracay beach at the "Philippines Village" and experience Jamaican traditional dance to the rhythms of Dancehall at the "Jamaica Village." On Oct. 27 at 4 p.m., Korean reggae duo RGP will join Jamaica's Jah Lil for a collaborative performance.
“Through music and culture, visitors from many countries will foster greater mutual understanding and cultural empathy,” Choi Bo-geun, head of the Culture Ministry's international cultural affairs and public relations office, said in the press release.
