Customers turn to cheaper, imported milk

Due to price hikes in milk since last year, imported sterilized milk is emerging as a new alternative due to its cheaper price tag. 

In 2023, imports of sterilized milk reached 37,000 tons, up 18.9 percent compared to the year before, according to a report from the Korea Rural Economic Institute.
