Actor Lee Seung-gyu, who portrayed a spoiled son of a politician and a teenage bully in the Netflix series "Teach You a Lesson,” made a donation to help victims of school violence, according to his agency JG Entertainment on Thursday.

The donation was made to the Blue Tree Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping young people who have suffered from school bullying and to preventing such violence.

The donation — the amount of which was not disclosed — reflected the actor’s will to carry on the message of the Netflix series in real life, the agency said.

“After learning of the actor’s intention, we believed it was a thoughtful and meaningful gesture,” an agency official said. “We are announcing his donation in the hope of extending its positive impact.”

"Teach You a Lesson" has maintained the top position on the platform's non-English show chart for the second consecutive week since its release on June 5, with 21.1 million accumulated views.

Lee, who debuted in 2021, has starred in “User Not Found” (2021) and “Our Dating Sim” (2023) before appearing in the Netflix series.
