K-pop chart operator Hanteo Global launched a new trend chart that uses secondhand platform Bunjang's K-pop transaction data.

The new Hanteo Trend Chart ranks K-pop acts based on fans' real-time consumption patterns and behavioral changes, Hanteo Global said Thursday.

The chart uses transaction data of secondhand K-pop goods on Bunjang as a key indicator, alongside the bigger Hanteo Chart's existing metrics, including album sales, digital streaming, portal activity and social media data. The transaction data is processed by Hanteo Global's proprietary antimanipulation filtering system before it is reflected in the rankings.

In the Hanteo Trend Chart for the fourth week of June, covering June 22 to 28, Hearts2Hearts topped the list with 90.37 trend index points. Cortis ranked No. 2, followed by BTS, BoyNextDoor and Ateez.

"This partnership is significant because it connects real-world consumer trends and the behavior of global fandoms with Hanteo Chart's advanced big data analytics," a Hanteo Global spokesperson said.

"By reinterpreting Bunjang's extensive fandom transaction data as meaningful fan data and integrating it into our analysis, we aim to establish the most reliable new benchmark for understanding both the current state and future direction of the K-pop market."
