Chuu to release single 'Rule' featuring Heize

The solo singer will drop the indie pop single on Thursday, teaming up with Heize for a song about self-determination.

Solo artist Chuu will release a new single featuring singer-songwriter Heize on Thursday.

The upcoming single, titled "Rule," is an indie pop track.

"'Rule' is an indie pop song with a message of self-determination, about walking your own path with confidence and refusing to be bound by others' opinions," Dreamus Company, which distributes the track, said Wednesday.

The single is being released as part of the collaboration between Dreamus Company and Contents X, a content intellectual property firm. K-pop artists such as girl group Kepler's Kim Chae-hyun and boy band AB6iX's Lee Dae-hwi have participated in the project in recent years.

Chuu, who first made her debut under girl group Loona in 2017, dropped her first solo EP "Howl" in 2023 after leaving the group and agency BlockBerry Entertainment in 2022 over the validity of her exclusive contract and unfair profit distribution. She released her first solo full-length album "XO, My Cyberlove" in January this year.

Heize, debuted in 2014, is best known for her song "You, Clouds, Rain" (2017).
