Actor Ryu Jun-yeol signed an exclusive management contract with the Galaxy Corporation, the home of veteran singer G-Dragon of Big Bang, the agency announced on Wednesday.

“Ryu Jun-yeol is an actor who represents Korea with his artistic competence and public appeal,” said Choi Yong-ho, the Galaxy Corporation’s chief happiness officer — the company’s equivalent of a CEO.

“By integrating physical AI technology into creative content, we will expand [Ryu’s] potential to global markets,” Choi added.

Ryu began his career in 2014 and starred in smaller works, such as indie films and a music video, until his breakthrough in tvN’s hit series “Reply 1988” (2015-16). He has also appeared in films such as “The Silenced” (2015), “The King” (2017), “A Taxi Driver” (2017) and “The Battle: Roar to Victory” (2019). He will appear on the upcoming Netflix series “Mousetrap,” which will be released later this year.

Besides Ryu, the agency manages singers G-Dragon and Taemin of boy band SHINee, as well as veteran actor Song Kang-ho.
