Hyundai Rotem and Kia are participating in Eurosatory 2026, one of the world's largest defense exhibitions, to be held in Paris from Monday through Friday, where the companies will showcase armored vehicles, tactical mobility platforms and emerging unmanned defense technologies.

The biennial exhibition is expected to draw more than 2,000 defense companies from around 70 countries this year.

Hyundai Rotem will exhibit alongside Hyundai Wia at a joint Hyundai Motor Group pavilion. The company's display will focus on artificial intelligence-based defense systems, including an AI-powered counter-unmanned aerial system designed to detect, identify and respond to drone threats.

The system is designed to integrate with a range of ground platforms, including tanks, armored vehicles and unmanned systems. Hyundai Rotem will display a model of a wheeled armored vehicle equipped with the counter-drone system as well as visual demonstrations of its layered defense concept.

The company will also exhibit an export-oriented version of its K2 main battle tank featuring optional systems such as a remote-controlled weapon station, active protection system and drone jammer.

In addition, the company will present the HR-Sherpa multipurpose unmanned ground vehicle, which can be configured for reconnaissance, anti-tank missions and other battlefield roles.

Kia's Tasman military command vehicle is on display for Eurosatory 2026 in Paris.

Kia will use the exhibition to showcase its military vehicle lineup for the first time at Eurosatory since 2016.

The automaker plans to display the Tasman military command vehicle, a two-seat cargo version of its Kia Light Tactical Vehicle (KLTV), and scale models of its next-generation medium and heavy tactical trucks.

The Tasman military command vehicle incorporates military-specific equipment including radio communications and blackout lighting systems. The vehicle entered service with the Korean military last year and is currently being deployed as a standard command vehicle.

The KLTV is designed to operate in demanding environments, including steep terrain, river crossings and extreme cold.

The company said the KLTV is currently in service with military customers in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. The vehicle was recently selected as a new standard vehicle platform by the Polish military.

Kia will also highlight the capabilities of its next-generation medium tactical vehicle, which can transport up to 25 personnel or 10 tons of cargo and is designed for off-road mobility, as well as its heavy tactical truck platform for logistics operations.
