![Customers browse appliances at a large mart in Seoul on Wednesday. Indexes for industrial production, retail sales and equipment investment all fell in July, marking the first such 'triple decline' in three months since April. According to a report by Statistics Korea on Wednesday, the index of all industrial production in July decreased 0.1 percent from the previous month. Retail sales, which show consumption trends, also fell 0.3 percent on month due to sluggishness in cosmetics and home appliances, a decline for the fifth consecutive month. A five-month-consecutive decline is the first for retail sales since statistics began to be compiled in 1995.
