Defense Ministry seeks to bestow military merit order on lieutenant colonel killed in 1979 coup

The Ministry of National Defense said Tuesday it will seek to award a national order of military merit to a lieutenant colonel who died while fighting against rebel forces during a military coup in 1979, recognizing him as "killed in action."
