HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) secured a 616.8 billion won ($461.8 million) order for the construction of four Very Large Ammonia Carriers (VLACs), the company said Thursday.
LG Chem and GS EPS will jointly invest 320 billion won ($247.3 million) to build a biomass plant at its Yeosu plant in South Jeolla.
LG Electronics will buy renewable energy from GS EPS, a local energy company, to power its home appliance factory in Changwon, South Gyeongsang.
