Through its latest release, “Imperfect-I’mperfect,” girl group Fifty Fifty explores a range of moods from dark to fresh and soft. The imperfect perfection of each member will be shown through the group's iconic bubbly dance pop tracks, according to the group's agency.

“This album is the result of a lot of thought and effort, not only to showcase what we do best but also to reveal new sides and the charms of our group,” said Chanelle Moon and Yewon in a collective response to a Q&A question released through its agency Attrakt on Tuesday.

“Since each track has a different genre and mood, we put a lot of work into finding the right tone for every song while recording. We hope listeners will pay close attention to each member’s unique vocal color and way of expressing themselves,” the response continued.

The fourth EP “Imperfect-I’mperfect” was released on Monday, consisting of six tracks, including its lead track “Like a Bubble.”

The new album delivers an empowering message that “even on imperfect days, there’s something cool about yourself,” according to its agency Attrakt.

The members said they tackled many new challenges and hope to broaden their spectrum by adding more performance and rap elements to the album, alongside their vocal skills.

Moon added that she wishes to hear comments like “Fifty Fifty can pull this type of concept too” for the album.

Keena also echoed a similar sentiment, hoping to hear “a team good on stage.”

“With this album, we wanted to explore a variety of moods and emotions that we had always wanted to try,” Keena said. “It required a lot of thought during the recording process, and we hope listeners will feel that these different sides also suit us well.”

Marking its first comeback album release this year, the group also shared its upcoming plans, including meeting with its international fans.

“First and foremost, we hope to create more great memories with our fans through this comeback,” Athena said. “For the rest of the year, we’re expecting to meet fans not only in Korea but also overseas, which we’re really excited about.”

The members also showed strong love toward their fans, Tweny — the group's official fan club name.

“Tweny is my greatest source of strength and motivation,” Moon said. “Thanks to the support the fans send, it inspires me to work even harder and show better sides of myself. I’m always grateful, and I love you all so much.”

Fifty Fifty debuted as a quartet in 2022. In August 2024, the member lineup changed to five, with only Keena returning from the original four while Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena were added to the group. It is best known for the song “Cupid” (2023), "Gravity" (2024) and "Pookie" (2025).

The latest album “Imperfect-I’mperfect" will move forward without Hana, who is currently on hiatus due to health reasons.
