DAY6's Dowoon rumored to be dating YouTuber Yu Ji-yu

A rumor that Dowoon, a member of the rock band DAY6, is reportedly dating YouTuber Yu Ji-yu has spread online.

Online users cited similarities in personal items, such as matching key chains and overlaps in their social media following lists, as evidence.

The rumors gained further attention after alleged eyewitness accounts claimed the two had met with a wedding planner.

JYP Entertainment, Dowoon’s agency, announced it had no particular comment regarding the dating rumors on Tuesday.

Dowoon debuted in 2015 as the drummer of DAY6 under JYP Entertainment. The band is known for songs such as "Congratulations" (2015) and "You Were Beautiful" (2017). The band released its fourth full-length album, "The Decade" (2025), in September 2025.

Yu Ji-yu runs the YouTube channel " Buddle_u" with approximately 198,000 subscribers and is also the younger sister of Yu Hye-ju, a content creator with approximately 1.1 million YouTube subscribers on her YouTube channel " Lijulike."
