Actor Lee Jae-wook, known for his role in "Extraordinary You" (2019), will begin his mandatory military service later this month, his agency said Monday.
Lee will enlist in the Army on May 18, without any special events to mark the transition, his agency, Log Studio, said.
The actor debuted in the tvN series "Memories of the Alhambra" in 2018 and has appeared in popular series, such as "Search: WWW" (2019), "Alchemy of Souls" (2022) and "Dear Hongrang" (2025).
In an interview held after the release of the Netflix series "Dear Hongrang," he disclosed his plan to enlist in the military, saying he hopes to "grow stronger" with the experience.
Lee will appear in the ENA series "Doctor on the Edge" and the Netflix series "Dead-end Job," which are set to air on June 1 and in the second half of the year, respectively.
