Dodgers' Kim Hye-seong enjoys multihit game while Giants' Lee Jung-hoo is held hitless

Kim Hye-seong of the Los Angeles Dodgers put up his third multihit game of the season, while his fellow Korean on the San Francisco Giants, Lee Jung-hoo, was held without a hit for the first time in three games.

Kim batted 2-for-4 with an RBI to help the Dodgers beat the Giants 3-0 at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Thursday.

The Dodgers had lost the two previous games against their National League West foe by a combined score of 6-1, but they gave the Giants a taste of their own medicine by holding them to just one hit in the shutout win this time.

Starting at shortstop and batting eighth, Kim drove in the Dodgers' third run with a single in the fourth inning.

Kim got his second hit with a single in the ninth inning and raised his batting average from .300 to .324 in the process.

Lee, on the other hand, was 0-for-3. With a man at first in the bottom of the second, Lee hit a grounder at Kim for a 6-4-3 double play. Lee then flew out to center in the fifth and popped out to first in the eighth.

His batting average is now .253.

The Giants took two out of three games in this series, which was the first meeting of the 2026 season between Kim and Lee, the only two Koreans in the MLB at the moment.
