As part of the tour, the students visited the research center’s galleries, where cutting-edge technologies were showcased, including displays, AI-powered home appliances and automotive innovations.

Composed of two exhibition sections, the first featured LG’s AI-powered robots, along with demonstrations of how they can be used in various settings such as senior households, restaurants and domestic environments. The section also highlighted service robots, including the flagship model LG CLOi, as well as logistics robots used in industrial settings. In addition, display technologies such as LCD and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays were introduced.

The second gallery showcased the company’s automotive technologies, including its vehicle solutions such as AI-powered cabin sensing systems, automotive displays and software platforms. It also featured home appliances such as a clothes styler, a home beer maker and education-focused home screen devices.

“We are leading in many sectors, including display, and many companies such as Tesla use our automotive components,” a spokesperson at the research center said during the tour. “However, we will continue to innovate to remain a leader across industries.”

During and after the visit, international students expressed strong excitement about the innovative technologies the company aims to commercialize in future projects.

“The tour was truly meaningful because we were able to see how Korea’s technology is leading and where it’s headed,” Duong Tien Dat, a Vietnamese student on the tour, told the Korea JoongAng Daily. “I was surprised by how much Korean companies are investing in AI development, and even more impressed by how clearly they have already mapped out their vision for the future.”
