Giants' Lee Jung-hoo picks up hit while Dodgers' Kim Hye-seong is silenced in Korean duel

Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants picked up a hit for the second straight game while his fellow Korean on the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kim Hye-seong, was kept in check in the battle of the National League West rivals.

 
Starting in right field and batting sixth, Lee went 1-for-3 and scored a run to help the Giants beat the Dodgers 3-0 at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Lee didn't get a hit in his first two at-bats against Dodgers starter Shohei Ohtani before singling off reliever Jack Dreyer in the bottom seventh.

Lee was lifted late during Tuesday's game after getting tagged out at home in an awkward-looking slide. He said after the game he had “banged up” his quad, but showed no ill effects on Wednesday.
 
Lee was batting .185 after going 0-for-4 on April 12. Since then, Lee has batted 12-for-30 while collecting multiple hits in half of his eight games. His batting average is now up to .262.
 
Kim, who batted eighth and played shortstop, was 0-for-3 with a strikeout and two groundouts. He is batting .300 this season.
 
The Giants have held the Dodgers to just one run over the past two games while improving to 11-13. The Dodgers fell to 16-8.
