People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok moved to tighten discipline ahead of the June 3 local elections, warning he could replace candidates over what he called “antiparty behavior” and reviving the ethics committee. The remarks came as internal dissent grew, including calls for candidate changes and support for former leader Han Dong-hoon. Yet criticism within the party intensified, with some lawmakers openly questioning Jang’s leadership.
