Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon is expected to meet with representatives from LG Electronics, including CEO Lyu Jae-cheol, in Seoul to expand collaboration in the AI sector, industry sources said Tuesday.
During the closed-door meeting, Amon and Lyu will likely discuss ways to combine their technologies for physical AI, which is seen as a future growth engine for both companies, the sources said.
LG Electronics, which is expanding its business portfolio into automotive components, has been making efforts to advance network communications technologies to support physical AI-powered mobility.
Qualcomm unveiled high-performance AI processors for vehicles, including Dragonwing IQ10, as well as robotics platforms, at CES 2026.
Industry insiders say LG Electronics could develop chips and establish a stable supply chain in partnership with Qualcomm.
LG Electronics and Qualcomm have worked together for decades, with the Korean company previously using Qualcomm chips in its mobile phones.
During his visit to Korea, Amon is also expected to meet with representatives from other Korean tech companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, the sources added.
