Park Hong-keun, minister of planning and budget, speaks at a briefing with reporters at the Government Complex Sejong on April 21.

The minister stated that Korea’s debt-to-GDP ratio remains ″significantly lower″ than that of major economies, contesting the International Monetary Fund's warning about the country's rising debt levels.

Regarding the possibility of a second supplementary budget, he downplayed the likelihood, noting that the first supplementary budget has only just been put forward.
