A fire broke out in Andong, North Gyeongsang, on Saturday, but it was extinguished within about an hour.
The fire started at around 12:05 p.m., on a hillside near Yean-myeon in Andong.
Eight helicopters and firefighters were dispatched to the area, with the blaze brought under control at around 1:24 p.m.
As the fire spread, Andong city issued an emergency text alert urging nearby residents and hikers to evacuate to safe areas in advance due to concerns about its potential spread.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
