Kofia head discusses investment cooperation with Indonesian ambassador

The head of the Korea Financial Investment Association (Kofia) met with Indonesian ambassador to Seoul Cecep Herawan on Wednesday to discuss bilateral investment cooperation, the association said.
 
Kofia Chairman Hwang Seong-yeop held a meeting with Herawan at the group's building in western Seoul, along with economic officials from the Indonesian Embassy, the investment association said.

The two sides exchanged views on pressing trends in Indonesia's financial market, major development projects and the investment-related policy environment in the Southeast Asian country.
 
Notably, the two sides agreed to explore partnership opportunities, including development projects in Ibu Kota Nusantara, Indonesia's new capital under construction, set to replace Jakarta as the capital by 2028.
 
"We plan to use this meeting as an opportunity to expand areas of investment cooperation and identify specific collaboration projects," Hwang said, according to a press release.
