The government will ban the stockpiling of medical syringes and needles starting Tuesday amid worries about supply disruptions.
Under the measure, manufacturers of medical syringes and needles are banned from stockpiling products in excess of 150 percent of their monthly sales recorded last year for five days, the government said Monday.
Also, they are prohibited from selling products exceeding 110 percent of their monthly sales posted last year.
The steps came amid rising concerns over supply disruptions, as the U.S.-Iran war has caused petrochemical prices to soar.
