Hyundai, Kia host conference on brake technology

Hyundai Motor and Kia held an industry conference themed on automobile brake technology on Friday to discuss related research and development and strengthen collaboration with partner companies.
 
At the Brake Tech Summit held in Incheon, just west of Seoul, the automakers presented cutting-edge brake technologies and exchanged views on key challenges and future development strategies, Hyundai Motor Group said in a press release.

Around 50 partner companies participated in the event, including HL Mando, KB Autosys, Aumovio and Seohan Innobility. The group's parts-making affiliate, Hyundai Mobis, also attended the annual gathering.
 
Participants introduced advanced brake hardware, AI-based control systems and electro-mechanical braking technologies considered critical for software-defined vehicles.
 
“Through the Brake Tech Summit, Hyundai and Kia aim to strengthen communication with partner firms and foster a collaborative technology ecosystem in the brake systems sector," a company representative said.
