President Lee Jae Myung on Sunday expressed hope for peace and for overcoming uncertainty sparked by war in the Middle East in an Easter message.
“I sincerely hope that the miracle of the Resurrection — leading toward peace, rather than confrontation and division, and love, rather than hatred and conflict — will be realized in our society today," Lee wrote on social media platform X.
He also cited the Bible verse, "Peace be with you," spoken by Jesus to his disciples after his resurrection in the Easter message.
“These words offer unwavering comfort and courage to us who strive to live our respective lives amid the anxiety caused by the Middle East war," he said. "The Republic of Korea will overcome this crisis wisely by coming together as one."
