Comedian and broadcaster Shin Dong-yeob, actor-singer Bae Suzy and actor Park Bo-gum will return as hosts of the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, organizers announced Thursday.
The three will host the ceremony on May 8 at 7:50 p.m. at Coex Hall D in Gangnam District, southern Seoul. This will mark the eighth time the trio has hosted the event together, extending what has become one of the awards show’s most recognizable traditions.
Shin, often seen as the center of the Baeksang stage, will be hosting the ceremony for the 12th time overall. After first serving as emcee from the 50th to 52nd editions, he has returned every year since the 54th edition, making this his ninth consecutive year in the role. He is also set to appear as a presenter in the male entertainment award category after winning the prize himself last year.
Bae, long associated with the ceremony, will mark her 11th straight year as emcee. She first joined the hosting lineup at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards in 2016 and has not missed a year since, becoming one of the event’s most familiar faces.
Park will also return, continuing a run that began with the 54th ceremony. After stepping away during military service and returning for the 58th edition following his discharge, he will now host for the eighth time overall and for the fifth consecutive year.
The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, sponsored by Gucci, will reveal its nominees on April 13 through its official website and social media channels.
Categories will cover television, film, theater and, for the first time this year, musical theater. Gucci returns as partner for the fourth straight year, and the ceremony will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2 and JTBC4.
