The top executives of Korea's tech giant Naver and Sweden's audio streaming company Spotify have discussed ways to expand their content partnership, the companies said on Thursday.

Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon met with Spotify co-CEOs Alex Norstrom and Gustav Soderstrom at the Swedish company's headquarters in Stockholm on Wednesday to review early progress and align on the long-term direction of their partnership in Korea, according to the companies.

The meeting followed a strategic partnership signed in November 2025, under which Naver's paid users gain access to Spotify's extensive content library.

As part of the collaboration, Naver users have been able to log in to Spotify using their Naver ID since last week through a single sign-on, or SSO, system.

The two companies agreed to expand cooperation across search, marketing and content, among other areas, in the future.

“This meeting reinforced the strong foundation that we are building with Spotify and the long-term potential of our partnership in Korea,” Choi said. “By bringing together our respective platforms and capabilities, we are focused on deepening this collaboration for users in Korea to discover and experience music and audio content.”
