NC drops 'soft' as concrete move in broader brand renewal

NCsoft, a major Korean game developer and publisher, said Thursday it has officially changed its corporate name to NC as part of its broader brand renewal effort.
 
The decision was approved at a shareholders meeting held in Seongnam, south of Seoul, the company said.

NC has been preparing for the name change since 2020 as it seeks to expand its business portfolio beyond gaming.
 
It operates several affiliates, including NC AI, NC QA and NC IDS, as well as overseas units, such as NC America and NC Japan.
