Legoland Korea will launch a Lego Ninjago-themed program, "Go Full Ninja," on Friday, kicking off a year of new and diverse offerings centered on its core values.
"The most important keywords for this year remain the same," said Lee Seong-ho, CEO of Merlin Entertainments Korea, which operates Legoland Korea, at a press conference held on Wednesday in central Seoul. "Our focus is on children, families, creativity and immersive experiences, and we have structured this year's operations around those values."
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Ninjago, the theme park, which is in Chuncheon, Gangwon, is offering attractions, a stamp rally, interactive experiences and live performances centered on the franchise.
The seasonal event includes "Lego Ninjago: The Journey," where visitors can explore an interactive space and participate in workshops run by professional Lego builders. At MiniLand, ninjas are hidden throughout the area, allowing children to search for them while completing missions.
A new screening of "The Lego Ninjago Movie" will be introduced, along with three Ninjago-themed performances developed in partnership with U.S.-based RWS, whose clients include Disney.
"These programs are part of Legoland's upgraded Enjoy content lineup, designed to offer visitors experiences that differ from existing attractions," Lee said.
To extend the themed experience to dining, the park will have a range of ninja-inspired menu items, including Ninja Churros and Ninja Chicken. Legoland Korea Resort will offer special packages featuring Ninjago-themed rooms.
The theme park has been working to improve accessibility to attract a broader range of visitors.
This year, the park raised the age for free admission from age 2 to 3, going beyond the global Legoland standard. It is also rebuilding its facilities in a move toward becoming a barrier-free theme park. A free "Hero Pass" reservation system for visitors with disabilities is available, along with a sensory room for guests who may be sensitive to noise.
With such efforts, the park has seen notable growth. Peak day attendance, including on Children's Day, rose by more than 50 percent last year compared to 2024, while overall ticket sales increased by about 2.4 times on year.
"This year's first quarter has also seen solid performance, and we are seeing a strong upward trend," Lee said.

To further expand its visitor base, the park has introduced new promotional offerings this year. Visitors can purchase an annual pass for 99,000 won ($67); a Double Pass, which includes annual access to Sea Life COEX, for 119,000 won; and a Triple Pass, which also covers Sea Life Busan for 179,000 won.
The park plans a range of events this year, including a family-oriented Lego Run, the pirate-themed "Awe-Summer" in July, "Monster Castle" in September and a Christmas-themed "Merry Bricksmas" in November.
"Since opening, we have consistently focused on our identity as a theme park specialized for families and children," Lee said. "We aim to highlight Lego's unique heritage and value, and build a distinct identity in the market."
