Kim Chang-han, the CEO of Korean game publisher Krafton, has been assigned to concurrently lead the company's new AI robotics unit in the United States, industry sources said on Wednesday.
Kim has taken on the role of CEO for Ludo Robotics, an AI and robotics laboratory recently established in San Francisco by Krafton, according to the sources.
Lee Kang-wook, the chief AI officer at Krafton, was earlier appointed chief technology officer of Ludo Robotics and CEO of its Korean subsidiary Ludo Robotics Korea.
The move comes as Krafton is increasing its research and development investment and expanding collaboration with global partners, including Nvidia, as it seeks to broaden its business beyond game development into physical AI and robotics.
